Alex Brookins

On March 4, 1994, a bouncing adorable baby boy was born to Dennis Lee Mitchell and Alice Mae Brookins. The proud parents named their handsome son, Alex Lee Brookins.

Alex was educated in the Houston Independent School District and graduated CLC Contemporary Learning Center in 2012. At an early age, Alex was taught to love and honor God; thus accepting Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and Lord at an early age. He was baptized at St. Elizabeth Baptist Church.
Alex had a love for music, his passion was that one day he would help inner city youth in reaching their goals through music. With hopes of helping them turn their lives around and keep a positive cycle going.

On February 16, 2017, the angle of the Lord appeared to Alex and ushered his soul into Heaven to sit at the Welcome Table with Jesus. He has now joined the heavenly host choir and singing, Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! He now joins his grandfathers; Sandy Brookins, Sr. and Alexon S. Mitchell, Sr., grandmothers; Rosie Lee Brookins and Corina G. Mitchell, uncles; Preston and Michael L. Mitchell and sister; Tiffany Brookins.

Those left to cherish his memories are his beloved parents; Dennis Lee Mitchell and Alice Mae Brookins; three sisters; Charlene Denise Brookins, Jordan and Kaitlyn Mitchell, one brother; Cashus Mitchell, eight aunts; Barbara Brookins, Lois Evans, Lola Brookins, Joyce Brookins, Annie Brookins Brown, Shirley Mitchell, Ruby Mitchell and Grace Mitchell, two uncles; Walter Brookins and June Mitchell, one brother-in-law; Eddie Brown, girlfriend of 10 years; Breanna Williams and step-son; Todarien St. Julien and a host of other loving family and friends.
