Beverly Butch Mr. Jones

Service will be held on Tueday, March 4, 2014 at 12pm at Mt. Tabor Church 2513 S Edgewood Terrace. You may vist him Monday, March 3, 2014 fom noon-7pm and the family will receive friends from 7-8pm at the funeral home. Mr. Beverly Jones, fondly called “Butch” was born on April 17, 1946, in Coffeyville, Kansas. He grew up in a loving and nurturing home with his parents, Melvin and Ina Jean Jones, and nine siblings. He was educated in the Topeka Independent School District, graduating from Topeka High School. Any one the ever met “Butch” knew of his great love of music. He had all the old greats music on cd’s and even albums. He would listen to music to help pass the time while working around the house. In addition to music, he was a lover of fishing, hunting, reading and playing that bass guitar of his. By trade “Butch” worked in security for several airline company to provide for his family. On May 11, 1975, “Butch” married his friend and sweetheart,  Estella.   He loved his family and wanted nothing but the best for them. Mr. Beverly Gene “Butch” Jones, surrender to the voice of the Lord, “come unto me all that are heavy laden and I will give thee rest”, on February 23, 2014. He is proceeded in death by his     parents, a brother-Melvin Jones, Jr. and a sister-Gwendolyn Kenoly. He leaves fond memories in the hearts and lives of his wife, Estella Jones, his children, Beverly J. Jones (Mike), Adrienne Fields (Bobby), Terry Brown, Cozy Brown; his father, Thomas Nickerson, his siblings, Marian Kennedy, Billy Jones (BJ), Sandra Nickerson (Ronnie), Linda Brown (Gene), Joyce Nickerson,  Phillip Nickerson, and Rodney Nickerson, all of Topeka, KS, grandchildren, Germesha Shelton, Shamica Jenkins (Adrian), Derrick Fields, Cedric Fields (Vanessa), Katrina Fields (Myron), Sabrina Fields (Contrell), 12 great-grandchildren, special friend, Elsie Caldwell, other family and friends.
