Chandra Manning

Chandra Manning, 51, passed away on Dec. 30, 2013. Service will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2014 at High Noon at Corinth Baptist Church   The morning of February 27, 1962, God bestowed to the world what would become one of his greatest creations; Chandra Yvette Cotton. He had given the earth a      spirited young lady who loved people, loved to talk, never  met  a stranger and lived life to its fullest. As a toddler, her parents, Aubrey and Elnora, moved the family from Greenville, Texas, her birthplace to  Fort  Worth, Texas. She attended public school in Fort Worth, graduated from OD Wyatt High School - Class  of 1980 and went on to  attend East Texas State University in Commerce,  Texas In 1985 Jerry came to the house to visit Jimmy " Bubba" and instead Yvette began  talking and from that point on they were inseparable.  Upon returning from a  Manning Family Reunion in Marshall, Texas she informed her mother that she and Jerry were going to get married. Although Jerry was surprised about the announcement, they were married on  March 21, 1987.  After 26 years of marriage they were still inseparable aka Bonnie and Clyde. If you didn't know them you would have thought that they were still courting and dating. On May 31, 1989 they welcomed a “new  bundle of joy" Chaddrick  Jermon. Chandra was an attentive mother and loved Chad unconditionally. They were dance partners and won several dance contests (swinging out). It was often said that she was Rev. Brumfield s' right hand - she always remembered the little things and made sure that they were done and done to perfection. She would often be seen working behind the scene in the finance room with Bro. Jones, Bro. Edwards and Moses Davis. She along with Renee, Bridgett and Paula were the unofficial event coordinators - they worked together many late nights ensuring that the dining hall was decorated for upcoming events such as bridal and baby showers, women events, senior saints luncheon and many many more. She was known for her meticulousness and creativity. Chandra was just as dependable and faithful in her career as a Claims Specialist for Sedgwick CMS. In 2008 she continued her desire to obtain her degree and enrolled at The University of Phoenix. We will miss Chandra's presence but her grace and spirit will be in our hearts forever. She was preceded in death by her mother and   father and sister; LaWanda White. She leaves to cherish her memory and carry on her legacy; husband, Jerry Manning, son; Chaddrick Manning, brother; Jimmy Johnson of Sulphur Springs, sister; Paula Taylor (Preston) of Fort Worth, nieces; Felicia Parson and Patience Carter of Fort Worth, nephew; Keith Brookins of Corsicana, aunts; Essie Pryor of Sulphur Springs, Lizzie Stevens of Lindale, Wonderful Yates (Billy) of Conroe, uncle; Cleautry Johnson of Sulphur Springs, sisters in law; Ocie Dunham (Aubrey) of Stockton California and Velma Rice of Fort Worth, brothers in law; Fred Manning (Vanessa) of Fort Worth and James Manning (Donna) of Marshall, Texas, god  sister; Tawanna Roland, god son;  Terrion Lockridge (Tequila), great nieces, great    nephews, cousins, friends and her Corinth Church Family.
