Charlie "Sonny Boy" Herndon Jr. transitioned from labor to reward Monday, Oct. 5, 2015. Celebration of life: 2 p.m. Saturday at Serenity Funerals & Cremations. Interment: 10 a.m. Monday in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, Lane B. Visitation: noon to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Survivors: His beloved wife, Prima F. Herndon; treasured sons, William Herndon (Ramona), Lester Herndon and Gregory Herndon (Martha); five adorable grandchildren; seven precious great-grandchildren; and a loving host of other family and friends.
