Constance Bud Ewing, Jr

On a bright sunny day in 1942 on December 6th, in Luling, Texas, the Lord blessed Constance Sr. and Maggie Ewing with a wonderful and outgoing son. They named him Constance Talmadge Ewing Jr, affectionately known as "Bud". At the age of 6, his parents relocated to San Angelo Texas where he matriculated through San Angelo Public schools. He graduated from San Angelo Central High school where he was an outstanding scholar and athlete in baseball and basketball. After graduating high school , he attended Prairie View AM College prior to going into the Army where he served in Viet Nam as Military Police with a Master Sharpshooter Classification . After his honorable discharge from the Army, he moved to San Jose, California where he received his degree in Mechanical Engineering at San Jose State University and was hired by Lockheed Missile and Space Company as an Architectural Engineer in Special Project Management. He retired in 1998 and relocated back to San Angelo Texas. Shortly after relocating to San Angelo, he became a member of Galilee Baptist Church and later joined Christian Fellowship Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. John Lacy. As a committed member of Christian Fellowship he served in various capacities such as, Board of Trustee Member, Sunday School Facilitator/ Teacher, Mens Chorus and wherever there was a need. During his stay in Fort Worth Texas he became a member of Great Commission Baptist Church under the watch care of Dr. Douglas E.Brown Pastor/Teacher where his sister is a member. Bud loved the Lord, his children, family and friends. He had quick wit and loved to make people laugh with his constant humor. His love of teaching Sunday school was evident and that he was eager to share lessons with anyone who supplied some of the elderly community members with their favorite fruits and veggies. If he didnt grow it, he would go to the Farmers Market and purchase what each person on his list liked. He was a great supporter of any organization or activities that supported the youth. And what a chef Bud was! He loved to cook special meals for family and friends and they loved to eat his mouth watering special dishes. Following his injury in May 2012, Bud began his rehabilitation journey with the support and care of his daughter and sister. ""Bud" fought a valor fight with dignity and determination and on the morning of May 10, 2015, he heard the voice of the Lord calling him from labor to eternal rest he took a peaceful flight. He leaves to cherish his memories, his children Gregory Stenix, William Ewing ( Camel), Felisha Ewing Autrey ( William ); Sister, Earline Ewing Franklin,; 7grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; three special cousins, Gladys Dixon, Doris McKane, Glenda Denise Edmonds, and a host of other relatives and friends.
