According to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, with which I have been entrusted. 1 Tim. 1:11 A time to be born… On March 31, 1955, in Fort Worth, Texas, a bouncing baby boy was born to the Betty Joe McGowan. As a child Donald Ray was a happy, fun-loving person with a captivating personality. He was, as most boys are, very curious and quite active. A time to learn... He was reared, along with his siblings, in a home where love abided and Jesus Christ was served. He accepted Christ as his personal Savior and Lord at an early age and endeavored to do the will of God. Donald attended public school in the Fort Worth Independent School District and attended Polytechnic High School and the historic I.M. Terrell High School. Upon completion of High School, Donald enlisted in the United States Armed Services, division of the Army. A time to cherish… Donald was an amazing and gifted man. Donald worked for the City of Fort Worth and the Century 2 Club. He later relocated to Amarillo, Texas. He loved spending time with his family and friends and would do anything for anyone. He spent his free time he loved to cook. A time to die... Donald Ray McGowan entered a prepared place for a prepared people on July 5, 2018. He is now sitting at the   welcome table with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, his mother, Betty Joe McGowan Lenear; siblings,  James Earl, Oliver, Dexter, Darrell, and Linda. He will not leave you comfortless.. Those left awaiting to meet him in glory are his sisters, Connie McGowan and Clara Smith; several nieces and  nephews and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
