Elizabeth Griffith

A time to be born, On January 31, 1944, in Bay Springs, Mississippi a beautiful baby girl was born to W. C. and Katie Mae McLaurin. She and her siblings, ODean, James, Linda, Johnny, Elaine, Gladys, Alvin, Steve and Brenedia, shared a beautiful relationship of love and admiration towards one another. Elizabeth was educated in the Prentiss Independent School District where she attended J. E. Johnson High School and later earned her GED. A time to cherish, The beautiful Elizabeth met the love of her life, the handsome Rev. Willie Earl Griffith. After a period of courtship the two became one in holy matrimony. She loved him and he loved and adored his virtuous woman. This union was blessed to have three adorable children, Willie, Jr., Elizabeth and Matrail. They spent 52 loving years together. She also served faithfully as the First Lady of The Church of Fort Worth. Elizabeth enjoyed cooking and found even more enjoyment while people were eating and raving about her palatable meals. She welcomed a day of shopping and watching television..shows like 48 Hours and Law & Order, which were two of her favorites. In addition, she had what is called a "green thumb". She could grow anything.her front yard was an oasis of beautiful flowers and ivory plants. However, her most treasured time was spent with her grand babies. She loved them immensely. She had lots of wonderful stories about the kids on the school bus. She worked for over 20 years with the FWISD Transportation and enjoyed every minute of her time there. A time to die, On March 17, 2016, Elizabeth Griffith exchanged her earthly life for her heavenly life. She is now reunited with her parents; Katie & W.C., siblings; Gladys, Alvin and Steven and awaiting the reunion of all her loved ones she left behind. Leaving her legacy, Those left with precious and fond memories of Elizabeth are her beloved husband, Willie Earl Griffith, Sr.; her loving children, Willie E.
