Evonne Bailey

Evonne White Bailey, from Nairn, LA entered into eternal peace on September 14, 2017. She was 77. Her husband, Leon Joseph Bailey of Hollywood, South Carolina, her father, Benjamin White Sr. of Nairn, LA; her stepfather, Charlie Nye Sr. of Waterloo, IA; her mother, Louise White Nye of Nairn, LA; four brothers, Charlie Nye Jr. (Betty Nye), Benjamin White Jr., Larry Riley and Terry Riley; and sister, Iona White Evans, precedes her in death. She is survived by her two sisters, Leola Nye Bean and Mona Ann Riley; two children Renny White and Wanda Hunter Lewis; honorary daughter, Lorraine White Moore; seven grandchildren, LeeShawn Lewis Brown (Charlie Brown Jr.), Elicia Eyvonne Lewis, Jamal Jai Turner, Deanna McGee, Jeremy McGee, Deanel McGee and Melvin McGee; two great-granddaughters, Janisha DeShawn Lewis and Eyvonne Cicely Turner. She also leaves to mourn her nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of family and friends. Her Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 23rd. The Celebration of Homegoing services will be held at Davis Mortuary Funeral home located at 6820 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, LA and are set to begin promptly at 10:00 am. The Burial service will follow at Restlawn Park Cemetery 3450 Hwy. 90 West, Avondale, LA 70094. Immediately following the burial service the repast will be held at her gracious home that she loved so much located at 4909 Grand Terre Drive. Marrero, LA. 70072.
