Gerald West

Gerald Dwayne West was born to Donna Berry West and Ray Charles West on September 20, 1966 in Fort Worth, Texas. Gerald started grade school at Our Mother Mercy in 1971 and graduated from O.D. Wyatt High School in 1984. He continued education at Mountain View College And Prairie View A&M University College. Gerald accepted Jesus Christ at an early age. He is preceded in death by his mother (Donna) and father (Ray). Gerald "Slee Stack" West will always be remembered for his charismatic personality and his ability to keep everyone laughing. Gerald was a mentor, a confidant, a philanthropist, an entrepreneur, a father, an uncle, and a friend to everyone he met. He was called home on March 7th, 2017.
Left to mourn and cherish his memory are his wife (Cheryl Chappell), daughter (Whitney Chappell), two brothers (Mekos Shawn West and Brian Keith West), devoted and loving grandmother (Vera Berry), loving aunt (Edna Carr), nieces and nephews (Shannon Bass, Mekole West, Christian West, Alexandria Slagle, Kalibh West, and Ariel West), devoted family and friends (Nikita and Humberto Perez, Sandra and Johnny Williams, Harry Carr, Tony Carr, Krelia and Sam Scaife, Anthony Miles, Tim and Chanda Miles, Morney Duncan, Edwina Dukes, Christine Kerl, Chrissy Slagle, Rosalind Shea, Jason Kerl, Reginald McHenry, Michael Bonner, Timothy Kerl, Therron Steptoe, Kerry Washington, Damon Willis, Chuck Rogers, Stephen and Tracie Green, Charles Hibbler, and Choyia Adanandus), and a host of loving relatives and friends.
The world knew him as Gerald but his family and friends knew him as "Stack", FOREVER in our hearts.
