Hazel Sample

Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, July 6, 2018 at 1pm, at Samaria Baptist Church, 4000 East Berry. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, July 5, 2018 from 12-7pm and the family will receive friends from 7-8pm.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 A time to be born….. On September 22, 1935, in Marlin, Texas, a precious baby girl was entrusted to Arie Washington and Tommy Jones. The proud and happy parents would name their gift from God, Hazel. Oh, what joy she would bring to their hearts and lives!  A time to cherish... In 1956 she relocated to Fort Worth, Texas. Hazel was a proud member of Samaria Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor McKinley Jackson. She was blessed to become the mother of four wonderful sons and a daughter. Hazel enjoyed spending time with her family, church family and friends. All may not know her story nor all the things she had been through, but she did not let any circumstances keep her from living a life of purpose. She thoroughly enjoyed watching her beloved Dallas Cowboys and Dallas Mavericks. A time to mourn….. On June 27, 2018, in the year of our Lord, Hazel, stepped into a prepared place for a prepared people. She heard the Master say, “come ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of world”. Matthew 25:34  She is now reunited with her husband; Hubert Curry; Daughters, Sandra Johnson and Angela Sample. He will not leave you comfortless... She leaves to cherish her memories her sons; Bruce Curry,Graylin Curry-Robertson (Kimberly), Donald Curry; Daughter; Roxie Harris (Harvey), Grandchildren;Donvon Curry, Donald Fields, Andra Curry, Yolanda Johnson, Eyanna Fields Graylin Curry Jr., Jaylin Curry, Nieman K. Timms, Michael Sample, Tyana Smith, God Children;Sherry Johnson, Lisa McGlivery, Anjanete Nunley, and Sister; Allean Issacc,  Eight great grand children,  and a host of other relatives and friends.
