Janice Lynn Barnett

Janice Walker Bennett was born on April 20, 1950 in Dallas, Texas to Rufus Walker and Thelma Christopher. She had a brother, Wayne Walker. She accepted Christ at an early age amd was baptized. She would later relocate to Fort Worth, Texas, where she attended L.D. Bell High School and Dunbar High School. She married Woodrow Barnett and shared 51 years together, having five children: James Barnett, Shalanda Barnett, Carla Barnett, Woodrow Barnett IV, and Keith Barnett. She enjoyed serving at her church, Repairer of the Breach Worldwide Ministries.
Preceded in death by: parents, Thelma Christopher and Rufus Walker; daughter, Carla Barnett; two sisters and three brothers.
Those left to cherish her memories are: husband, Woodrow Barnett; siblings, Wayne Walker; children, James Barnett, Shalanda Barnett, Woodrow Barnett IV, and Keith Barnett; sisters in law, Patricia McQueen and Sherry Finley; 17 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and a host of family and friends.
