Pleasant #2 Missionary Baptist Church. He attended the local school West Carroll Parish in Oak Grove, Louisiana. “A time to love’….Ecclesiastes 3:4 He spent most of his life in the construction industry. Due to health issues, Jonas retired and was unable to work any longer. Jonas was a loving and caring parent to his children and thought the world of them. Family functions and being in the presence of loved ones, including friends was enlightening for Him. He was truly one of a kind and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. “I am now ready to be offered”… II Timothy 4:6 On Sunday, March 18, 2018, Jonas was summoned home by the Lord. He was preceded in death by his Grandparents, Eanes James Sr. And Willie Mae James, and Henry Claude and Rosie B. Jones; His mother Lillie Bell James; Sister, Gloria Jean James; Brother,   Joseph Lee James and Father; Eanes James Jr. “I will not leave you comfortless”…St. John 14:13 He leaves to cherish his memories, his Children; Rachelle Terry (Ronald), Marvin Terry, Jonas Terry Jr. of Houston, Texas; Grandchildren, Lil Marvin, Martrice, Maisie, Ra'Nya, Rashard, Ra'Ziyah, Destiny, Brian nah, Miracle and Rontaivous; Sisters, Bettie Pickson (Johnny) of Houston, Texas, Beulah Brown (Wardell) of Oak Grove, Louisiana; Brothers, Willie James (Judy) of Houston, Texas, Charles James (Farrie) and Ricky James (Jamie) both of Oak Grove, Louisiana, Paul S. James (Amanda) of Atlanta, Georgia, and Frank James of Oak Grove, Louisiana. He also leave a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
