Keith Warfield

Mr. Keith Warfield passed away on November 1, 2014. His service will  be held on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at 1pm at Sweethome Baptist Church 5225 Ramey Avenue, Fort Worth, Texas. Keith Lovell Warfield was born in Gonzales County, Texas, on October 27, 1965. He was the seventh child born to Addison Warfield, Sr. and Erma Thornton Warfield. His dad was so  delighted to have another son that he passed out cigars to all within his presences.  Keith was born late to his parents; therefore, he had extended parenting from older sisters and brothers. He was reared in the church; and at an early age he confessed his belief in Christ and was baptized by Rev. I. T. Hewitt, at the Saint Paul Church in Waelder, Texas. Keith was active in Sunday school, church  and even in cleaning the church Keith received his education from the Waelder and Fort Worth Independent School District. He was an avid sportsman; his favorite being basketball in which he excelled. He celebrated his forty-ninth birthday on October 27, 2014 at a barbecue given by his sisters;  he was so happy there with his nephews calling him Uncle Keith and watching the Cowboys on t.v. go into overtime and still loss the game. That game took him back a few years to a Cowboys game that his nephew Nicholas had taken him to see. Keith enjoyed working with young men, most them from at risk communities. In the early 2000’s he worked tirelessly with a group of these men, while earning a living driving a eighteen wheeler truck across three states; but he made time for those young men on Saturdays. Consequently, on Sunday’s he would assist in distributing food and clothing to communities less fortune than his. On the forth Sunday in October 2014, Keith united with Sweet Home Baptist Church, under the leadership of Pastor James C. Brown. He told his sister that he looked forward to being a part of the Abundant Life Ministry; but time waits for no one, so it was with Keith on November 1, 2014. Keith was preceded in death by his parents, children; a sister-Ola Burton, brother-Addison Warfield, Jr. and two brothers-in-law, E. Ross Burton and Ervin W. Reeves, who were like fathers to him. Keith is survived by his daughter, Keitra L Wilkinson (Thomas) of Austin, Texas;  grandchildren, Keira, Brianna and Ryan; siblings, Erma L. Rollins, Ella W. Reeves, Linda J. Harris (Wayland) and Timothy Warfield; seven nephews, four nieces, twenty great nieces and nephews; aunts, June Price and Floyzell Nickleberry; uncle, Marion Warfield (Verna) and scores of other relatives and friends.
