Kenneth Wayne Smith was born to Riley and LaPearl Smith, in the spring of 1958, April 2nd, to be exact. He, along with his siblings, Linda, Barbara, Gregory, Rodrick, Fredrick and Patrick, were reared in a loving, nurturing, Christ-centered home, where plenty of love abided. Kenneth Wayne was a scholar in the Fort Worth Independent School District, graduating from the famous Paul Lawrence Dunbar High School, class of 1976, and home of the “Mighty Wildcats”. After graduation, Kenneth enrolled at MTI, where he study various subjects of interest. As a profession, Kenneth Wayne was a Truck Driver, even driving cross-country; he loved to travel. However, in his leisure time, he  enjoyed a good game of basketball, shooting pool and most definitely dancing.  Additionally, Kenneth Wayne was very active member of Mount Hermon Missionary Baptist Church. As a member, he served faithfully and dutifully to their male chorus; learning his part and singing with melodious harmony, praises to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He was also a Honorary member of the Love Fellowship Christian Center. “For here we have no lasting city, but we seek the city that is to come”, Heb. 13:14   Kenneth Wayne Smith entered the City of Heaven on Tuesday, March 24, 2015, where he and his lovely   mother, LaPearl Smith, are singing praise to God. Oh, what a reunion that must be. Kenneth Wayne leaves fond memories in the hearts and lives of his beloved wife, Edna L. Mathews-Smith; his devoted father, Riley H. Smith; his loving children, Dominique L. Smith, Keneshia L.L. Smith, Kenneth L. Frazier and Jaime L. Frazier; his faithful siblings, Linda Jefferson, Barbara Callaway (Frank), Gregory Smith (Shirley), Fredrick Smith (Connie), Rodrick Smith and Patrick Smith; his   seven beautiful grandchildren and a host of other loving family members and friends.
