Saturday, February 17, 2018 One hour before noon United Covenant of Hope Church of God 6555 Mesa Drive—Houston, Texas Pastor Robert Williams, Celebrant.                                                                                                                                                                                        A time to be born… It was a fair late winter day in 1974 in New Orleans, LA when Larine and Gloria Finley presented their new baby girl to the awaiting family and friends. Their bouncing baby girl was named Margaret and February 4, was the date of birth.She was the baby born to this union and shared a wonderful relationship with her siblings, Gregory, Sharon and Michele. A time to cherish… She was educated in the New Orleans School System and late attended LSU, in Baton Rouge, LA. She worked for several years at Reliant Energy She was a very loving woman. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and her friends. She was a loving and devoted mother, sister and friend. She enjoyed sitting down with a good book and watching all kinds of sports. A time to love… She was courted by a young man named Harry Ramon Walker. After their courtship, he asked her to be his wife.  She consented and they were married on October 15, 1999. They remained twain as one until he was called home to be with the Lord. To this union a son, Jordan, was born. A time to die… Once again death has knocked at our door and taken one of our loved ones; Margaret Finley Walker, transitioned from  labor to reward on February 4, 2018. Her death leaves a heartache that nothing can heal, but her life leaves sweet memories that no one can steal. Life must go on; we know that is true, but life will never be the same without her. She is now reunited with her husband, Harvey Walker, brother, Gregory Finley grandparents, Louisa James, L.W. Green, Cicero and Ethel Finley and all those that have gone on before her. A time to reflect… Those left with fond memories are her parents, Larine and Gloria Finley; sons, Jordan and Hardreck Walker; sisters, Sharon Wilkerson (Freddie), Michele Finley, all of Houston, TX; Veronica Williams and Nadine Finley of Chicago, IL; brother, Ricky Miles of New Orleans, LA; nieces, Kandee Finley, JeKay Wilkerson of Houston, TX, Naomi Williams of Chicago, IL; nephews, Dominique Wilkerson and Jalil Smith of Houston, TX, and Malik Williams of Chicago, Il., a host of great nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.
