Marie Choice

Saturday, October 6th, 2018 at High Noon.                                    “To everything there is a season; a time to be born”...Ecclesiastes 3:1 On April 8, 1923, in a little small town named Eufalda, Oklahoma, a bouncing baby girl was born to McKinley Johnson and Myrtle Phillips Johnson, they named their gift from God Marie. She was reared in a loving home with her siblings. “When I was a child”… II Corinthians 13:11 She was educated in the Fort Worth Public Schools; having proudly attended Clinton Avenue and the historic I.M. Terrell High School. She accepted Christ at an early age and attended Wesley Chapel. “A time to love’….Ecclesiastes 3:4 Marie met a dashing young man named T. Early Choice and after a brief courtship the two were wed in 1962. They were blessed with five children. She was a devoted and loving mother and found great joy and comfort in providing for her family. She especially loved cooking and was very excited when preparing for the holidays or birthdays. She was a very humble yet spirited woman. Some knew her by her nickname “Mustang Sally,” for her love of her Mustang GT. Marie also enjoyed spending time outside in her yard and spending as much time as she could with her grandchildren. “I am now ready to be offered”… II Timothy 4:6 On September 30, 2018, our dear Marie peacefully slipped away to meet her Heavenly Father and to be reunited with her beloved husband, T. Early Choice; parents McKinley Johnson and Myrtle Phillips Johnson; children, Wille E. Hubbard, Deloris Stewart, Bobby J. Stewart, Sr., and Edward C. Melton; grandson she reared Jamond Steele.; sisters, Naomi Sheppard, Juanita Hardeman, and Lorine J. Rice; brothers, Marion Johnson, Lonnie Johnson, and Earl Willie Johnson. “I will not leave you comfortless”…St. John 14:13 Those left to cherish the memories and celebrate her life are her  loving and devoted daughter, Debora Timms; grandsons she reared, Priestly E. Thompson, Jr. and Roshun Steele;  sister, Shirley Raven (Tim); 15 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; 16 great-great grandchildren; sister-in-love, Amelia McKenzie (Sherman); several nieces, nephews, cousins and other loving relatives and friends.
