Mark Stevens

On October 15, 1968 in the great city of Fort Worth, a baby boy was born to John and Phyllis Stevens; he was a welcomed joy not only to their home but to their lives. He, along with his    siblings, Cedric, Tena, Fannie and Joe was reared in a loving and nurturing home where laughter and a love of God was instilled in each of them. As a child, Mark was educated in the Fort Worth Independent School District, graduating in the 1987 Class of Arlington Heights High School, home of the Yellow Jackets. Mark was a man that loved people and enjoyed having fun. He enjoyed talking and watching sports, any sports. Mark was a man of many talents; he found pleasure in barbequing for his family and friends; while fishing Mark would listen to his “ole’ skool” music. One could always find Mark dressed to impress. He had a keen eye for fashion and did not mind spending money on clothes……….he always wanted and did look like, “Mr. G. Q”. However, there was a more serious side to Mark. He was a very caring man that rallied to help anyone he could. He found pleasure in giving and feeding those in the community who was less fortune. Mark wanted his life to be a blessing to all he encountered. He tried daily  to live according to the words found in the Bible, Matthew 25:40, “Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it to one of these brothers of mine, even the least of them, you did it to Me." He lived to put smiles on the faces of others and to bring a little sun shine into their lives. While in high school Mark met the lovely Ms. Sabrina Fantroy. After a period of dating, he asked for her hand in marriage and on August 10, 1986, “the two become one”. Sabrina became the love of his life; there was nothing he would not do for his bride. To this union two children were born, Sir Brandon and Madisyn. On February 8, Mark Anthony Stevens, entered into the gates of Heavens. He is now reunited with his mother, Mrs. Phyllis Stevens; his grandmothers, Louise White and Mable Stevens and his great grandparents, Joe and Fannie Williams. Those left with fond and precious memories of Mark Anthony Stevens are his loving and       devoted wife, Sabrina Fantroy Stevens; his children, Sir Brandon Fantroy (Keisha ) and Madisyn Markia Stevens; his grandson, Sir Brandon Fantroy, Jr., his father, Mr. John Stevens; his       siblings, Cedric Lee, Tena Harris, Fannie L. Passon and Joe H. Stevens; special sisters-in-law, Judith Whiteside (Pepper) and Phenicia Whiteside (Red); special aunt, Shirley (Sister) Stoker; ); special cousin, Nakisha McDaniel; special friends, Lewis Thomas “Big Lew” and Joyce Harris; aunts, uncles and a host of other loving relatives, friends and “the barber shop crew”.
