Michael Criss

On January 1, 1956, in Fort Worth, Texas, Michael Anthony Criss, was born to Carl and Mary Criss, Jr.; oh, what joy he would bring to their home as their first and only child. He was reared in a loving and Christian environment; attending church with his parents was a must in their home. Michael was educated in the Fort Worth Independent School District; graduating from Paul Lawrence Dunbar High School, class of 1974. It was while in school that Michael would build lasting friendship with some great people. Upon completion of high school, Michael enrolled and attended Tarrant County Junior College (TCJC) where he was a general studies student. In Michaels past time, he enjoyed spending time with family. Michael was blessed with two daughters, Antennille and Demetrice; they were his pride and joy. He looked forward to the holidays, family barbeques and reunions. Growing up as an only child, Michael spent a lot of time with his god-mother, Marie Connally, and god-sisters. Although family was important to him, he loved the comradery of "hanging" with his friends, playing and watching sports, and just having a good time. On December 7, 2014, Michael heard the command of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ say, "come unto me and I will give thee rest". He is now reunited in heaven with his father, Carl Criss, Jr. and grandmothers, Hughlee Lockridge and Elnore Strickland. Those left with fond memories are his wife; Carolyn; mother, Mary Criss; daughters, Antennille Robinson and Demetrice Trammell; grandchildren; Kelton Davis, TreLyn Robinson and Treniti Moss; uncle, J. T. Strickland (Azini); aunts, Betty Garland and Evelyn Strickland, and a host of relatives and friends.
