Mother Allean Isaac

Mother Allean Isaac was born January 29, 1928 to the parentage of
Lewis & Arie Washington. She attended Booker T. Washington High
School. She was a domestic worker by trade. In 1952 she met and
married the love of her life Mr. Emmitt Lee Isaac, Sr. This union
brought a total of 17 children. Surviving her are: Alton Isaac (Linda),
Albert Carroll, Nathaniel Carroll, Robert Carroll (Margie), Jimmy Carroll,
Patricia Lewis (Augustus), Vivian Singleton (Verneal), Bertran Isaac
(Teresa), Emmitt, Jr., Barbara Wright, Shelia Shaw (Demetric), Michael
Isaac, and Donna Isaac as well as fifty-two grandchildren, sixty-six great
grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, longtime friends
Lularene Hayward, Willie Mae Taylor, and Laverne Webster plus a host
of church family and friends. She was preceded in death by her
husband Emmitt Lee Isaac, two daughters, two sons, and two
grandsons Sharon, Mary Sue, Jimmy D, Vernon Ray, Julius Isaac, and
Keith Carroll. Mother Isaac also raised her deceased daughter children
as her own: LaQuista Linton (Ryan), Derrick, and John Isaac. In the early
sixties she joined the Mt. Calvary Baptist Church under the leadership
of Rev. M.R. Lester. In 1963 she joined the Samaria Baptist Church
where she was a member for over 50 years under the leadership of
Rev. Crockett, Rev. James Ray Evans, Rev. McKinley Jackson and Rev.
William McKinley Jackson. She was very active in the church. She served
on the Pastors Aide Ministry, Mission, Choir, Sunday School and
Culinary Committee until her health started to fail. In September 2014,
she joined the newly organized Jericho Road Baptist Church under the
leadership of Rev. Rodney A. Petty, Sr. You could find Mother Isaac at
Bible Study on Wednesday night, at Sunday School and worship service
on Sunday morning until the very end she was serving and supporting
her church.

Mother Isaac has many talents but these three were her favorites.
(Playing Spades, Singing & Pottery). She was an excellent player. If
there was a game to be played, she was there with her partner &
longtime friend Mother Lularene Hayward. She was a powerful spirit-
filled singer, she sang in the choir for 40 + years serving as president for
many years until she became weary in well doing and had to retire
because of health concerns. Her passion for pottery was outstanding. It
began as a hobby but quickly became a craft. Her knowledge of mixing
and matching paints was extraordinary, many of us have some of her
work still in our homes today. We loved her, but the Father loved her
more, we can only hope that one day we will see her again over there.
