Maven, lll was born on April 24, 1954 to Patricia Goodman and Vernon Maven Sr. in Sherman, Texas. His Education... Sherman High School, class of 1972, after graduation he relocated to Hampton, Virginia;  in 1978 he attended Durant College in Oklahoma City, 1978. His Christian Walk... Vernon gave is life to Christ in 2007and was a faithful member of Straight Way Christian Fellowship, under the leadership of Bishop Shevoyd Hamilton. His Service…. Naval Forces from 1972 to 1978. His Employment…. Vernon worked at the Dallas V.A. Medical Center from 1999 as a Head Chief, until he retired in 2005, and began volunteering for the Dallas V.A. Medical Center mentoring program until 2014. His Loves... Vernon met Sheena Badger in 1999, and in 2007, they relocated to Fort Worth, Texas. They were married in 2011. He enjoyed making people laugh. Even in the midst of his illness, he always kept a smile on his face. He loved to spend time with his family and friends and was also  interested in playing football, reading, and cooking; and everyone knew he loved to sing as well. His Homegoing… December 30, 2017, he is now reunited with his father, Vernon R. Maven, Sr., grandmothers, Bennie Love and Ruth Johnson and his mother-in-law, Dorothy Pye. Cherished Memories…. His beloved wife, Sheena Maven; children, Linda Maven, Amy Maven, Tamera McKee, Devoyne Davis, Ivory Maven, LaTasha Maven; siblings, Willie Ray Posey (Morlene), Larry Goodman (Sarah), Alfred Maven (Verlene), James Mortin (Barbara), Veronica Maven; six aunts, one uncle, several nephews and nieces, and his Straight Way Christian Fellowship Church   Family.
