Willie Mack Thompson

Services will be held on Wednesday, August 13 at 11am at Harvey Ave Baptist Church, 1257 E. Harvey Ave Fort Worth, Texas. You may visit him at the funeral home from Noon to 7pm and the family will receive friends from 7-8pm. Willie Mack Thompson, was born in the great city of Fort Worth, TX to the parentage of, Grant Thompson, Jr. and Annie Bell Davis-Thompson. He was reared in a loving and nurturing home with his siblings, Linda, Barbra, Jean and John. Willie was a person that loved learning and seeking knowledge. As a child, he was educated in the Fort Worth Independent School District, attending James E. Guinn Elementary and graduating from the historical I. M. Terrell High School, class of 1960. In Willie’s spare time one could find him fishing; he could bait and reel in any type of fish. He was also an avid football watcher; to watch a game with him was like being at a real game. The excitement he exuded and plays he thought should be played was hilarious. However, his prize time was also his favorite time-spending time with his grandchildren. He loved his grandchildren and there was nothing he wouldn’t do for each of them. He leaves to cherish his loving memories, his wife; Linda Thompson, children, Michael Thompson, Makala Thompson, and LaNise Staten (Mack), grandchildren; siblings, Linda Lonnon, Barbra Jean McClain, and John Douglas Thompson, special friend, Joyce McDaniel, nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends
