The Life Reflections of Dennis Wayne Ashley, Sr.
February 20, 1974- November 18, 2022
Dennis W. Ashley was born on February 20, 1974 to Roy and Delores Ashely in Fort Worth, TX. Dennis was the youngest of six children. He was baptized and accepted Christ at an early age under the leadership of the late Pastor BR Daniels, Sr. at Beth Eden Baptist Church.
Dennis graduated from Paul Laurence Dunbar High School in 1992. After High School Dennis attended and graduated from Alcorn State University where he met the love of his life, Etta Kizart. They united in holy matrimony on April 18, 1998. Dennis and Etta moved to Arlington in 1999, where they started a family and became parents to three beautiful children.
Dennis worked at AirBus Helicopters for nine years where he developed computer programs for Navy ERP program. He had a passion for math, computers, politics and loved to find ways to save money. He was an avid reader and had a unique perspective on life. His family will always remember for wanting to help anyone he could. His friends will remember him as someone always willing to listen. His laughter, smile and loving spirit will be missed by both friends and family.
Dennis was preceded in death by his dad, Roy Ashley and his grandparents, Roy and Beulah Ashley; Margaret Dow and Isadore Sanders.” Earth was no sorrows that heaven cannot heal.” Dennis leaves to cherish his memories: his loving wife, Etta Ashley’s three children, Catina Denise Ashley, Dennis Wayne Ashley, Jr., and Cierra Danielle Ashley; Mother, Delores Ashely sisters, Sylvia Hill (Shawn) of Fort Worth, TX Margaret Johnson-Ashley (James), Stacie Ashley, Samathis McElroy; one brother, Tracy Gordon Ashley all of Fort Worth, TX; and a host of beloved aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins, church family & friends.
