Gary Breed

On December 3, 1979, in the great City of Fort Worth, a handsome baby boy was born to Gary and Cynthia Renee Holbert Breed. He and his siblings, Christopher and Sage, shared an unbreakable bond of love, friendship and admiration for one another. Before the age of ten, he was both a domestic and international world traveler. He lived in Washington State, Maryland, Germany, and Belgium. He enjoyed his time everywhere. At age five, he fluently spoke French. He translated for his parents with the landlord. Growing up as the "Big" brother, he quickly realized his brotherly responsibilities to watch out for his younger brother, and to make good grades. And though he was the "Big" brother he was affectionately called "Lil Gary" He never complained although he was the one to get the last of most things. Gary Jr. understood that his life was bigger than his self-satisfaction. That behavior manifested in a way that shaped his character: loving, protective, patient, decisive, and a provider.
Gary Jr. was educated in the Fort Worth Independent School District having attended and graduated from Southwest High School home of the Raiders. As a student in school he enjoyed sports and being with friends. He also loved to play basketball, play different board games, video games and watching movies. There was never a dull moment for him. He accepted Christ at an early age and wasted no time getting to work for the Lord. He grew abundantly at Greater Love COGIC under the leadership of Bishop J.W. Glenn. He sang in the choir and became an Armor Bearer.
One of the most beautiful things about him was his heart, as it was like pure gold. He never thought twice about assisting anyone in need. He had a desire to give back and thus became a mentor and coach. He was a great listener and could solve just about any problem. People loved to be around him because of his genuine spirit.
Gary spent a lot of his spare time doing a few of the things loved. He greatly enjoyed working on cars and probably his most favorite, Cadillac. He enjoyed pretty much everything in life with the most extreme exception to pickles. Other than pickles he loved to eat and to cook. However, the true essence of Gary was his love and admiration for his family, especially his children. He was very devoted to their care and well-being. They shared a bond that pales in comparison to any other.
On December 16, 2016, a golden heart stopped beating, a beautiful smile at rest. Gary heard the call of his Master and he answered. He is now reunited with his brother, Christopher and all those that have gone before him and are now at the welcome table.
Precious and dear memories will remain in the hearts of his parents; Gary and Cynthia Breed, children; DraShun and Xion Breed, brother; Sage Breed, niece Ileena Breed and a host of other loving family and friends.
