Henry’s life began September 25, 1943 in Mart, Texas, born to the proud parents, Mr. Jimmie Hollins and Mrs. Johnnie Slaughter.

Henry accepted Christ and was baptized at an early age. Henry was a member of New Mt. Carmel Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend R.A. Toliver until his passing.

Henry completed high school in Mart Public Schools in Mart, Texas. Henry lived in Lubbock, Texas and later relocated to Fort Worth, Texas in 1966.

In Lubbock, Texas is where he met the love of his life, Tommie Lee Mann and they were married on July 10, 1965.

Henry was employed at General Motors Assembly Plant in Arlington, Texas for 25 years. Henry retired in 1995. Henry’s hobbies was dominoes, a game he loved to play.

“And the time of my departure is at hand…” on Saturday, July 25, 2020, Henry was peacefully submitted to the Holy Spirit at a local hospital in Arlington, Texas. Preceding him death are his father, Mr. Jimmie Hollins; mother, Mrs. Johnnie Slaughter; and his oldest daughter, Stephanie A. Hollins.

Henry leaves to cherish his wonderful memories: his lovely wife of 55 years, Tommie L. Hollins; son, Carlos F. Hollins (Roshandra); daughters, Zandra W. Johnson (Eddie), Carlandra A. Rhodes, and Kandy Scales; special daughter, Jeannette Humphrey; sister, Gloria Hollins Mann; two other sisters, five brothers, seven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, special family members Joh Hayward (Earlene Johnson), along with a host of other relatives and friends that loved him dearly.
