Service will be held on Thursday, July 3 at Noon in the Clarence Jimerson memorial Chapel. A time to be born, Johnnie Ray Haliburton, the son of Joann Marshall and Ray Haliburton I, was born in Fort Worth, TX on April 8, 1989. He grew up in a loving and nurturing family along with his siblings, Summer and Dominic Marshall. As a child, Johnnie was reared in the great city of Los Angeles, CA. He and his family relocated back to the southwest and settled in Fort Worth, TX. A time to learn, Johnnie was gifted with the ability to grasp, learn and master school subjects very quickly. He was educated in both the Los Angeles and Fort Worth Independent School Districts; graduating from Trinity Bell High School. Consequently, Johnnie knew and embraced a relationship with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Growing up in a Christian environment, where his grandfather, Rev. James R. Marshall, was a pastor, Johnnie accepted Christ at a young age. A time to explore, Johnnie was a young man that loved to explore new and different areas of life. His curiosity lead him to an interest in music, dancing and singing. He was always entertaining. He could and often times was the life of any event. He was very suave on the dance the floor and had a voice that could rival any competitor. A time to teach, Johnnie was a young man that always wanted his kids, JaKaist, Renija, Carnary “FaFa” and Nanna to learn and be smart. He believed and embraced the great author and poet Maya Angelou’s, philosophy, “when you learn, teach”! He would read and share life moments with his children, teaching them everything he learned as a youth and as a young adult. A time to die, On June 22, 2014, Johnnie heard and the answered voice of his Savior, “Come unto to me all ye who are heavy laden and I will give thee rest”. Johnnie is now reunited with his father, sister, uncle and grandparents, Naomi Marshall, Ruby Marshall, Jamin Marshall and Rev. James R. Marshall. A time to mourn, Johnnie leaves to mourn his memories, his mother, JoAnn Marshall-Sanders, children, JaKaist, Renija, Carnary and Nanna, his brother, Dominic Marshall, grandmother, May Helen Halliburton, Fiancée’, Tamika Gunn, aunts, Jelien Bryan (Elgin), Teresa Hornsby-Haliburton (Albert), Marilyn Garrett (Jimmy), Goldie Saunders, Joyce Anderson (Anthony), Beverly Lemon, Leomi Caldwell (Curtis), uncles James Marshall, Jr., and Dave Marshall, a host of cousins, family and friends.
