Lloyd Cheeks

On the twenty-ninth day of October nineteen hundred fifty in Smith County, TX a bouncing baby boy was born to Laura Mae High and Fado Cheeks. They named him Lloyd Tillman Cheeks. Lloyd was a professional Blueprint Welder. In his spare time you could find him out enjoying nature fishing; he was a master fisherman. Additionally, at family gathering Lloyd would often debate with his younger brother on various subjects. He was a fun loving and witty person that everyone enjoyed being around. On November 2, 2013, surrounded by family and friends he heard the voice of the Lord call and he answered. He is preceded in death by his loving mother, Laura Mae Cheeks; sister-Marcia McCradick; a niece-Jazmun Bryant. Those left to cherish his memories is his daughter, LaShawn Menefee; one grandchild-Courtney Bell, one sister-Willie Prentice; two brothers-Don Wayne Cheeks and Fado Cheeks (Donna) step-father, Donald Gordon and Frances Roberts (former-wife) and a host of other relatives and friends.
