Oscar Hazzard

Oscar Hazard was born to Reverend Johnnie Hazzard and Gussie Mae Hazzard in Fort Worth, Texas on July 6, 1945. He accepted Christ at an early age and was a God-fearing man.

"And a time to learn and teach"

Oscar was educated in the Fort Worth Independent School District and was a proud graduate of the Historic I.M. Terrell High School. He was a member of Mount Calvary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Watson and later as a member of the True Light Baptist Church under the leadership of his father, Rev. Johnnie Hazzard, Sr.

He enjoyed spending time with his family and many friends and was a loved dearly by his family.

"And a time to die"

We shall behold Him, face to face, in all of His glory. On Tuesday, February 7, 2017, Oscar Hazzard. fell asleep in the Lord. Those who have gone on before him are his parents; Rev. Johnnie Hazzard, Sr. and Gussie Mae Hazzard, siblings; Doris Chopp, Gloria davis and Willie Mae Brooks.

"I will not leave you comfortless".

Left to cherish his memory: daughter; Tonshae Bolden-Collier, step daughters; Bernadet Hernandez and Estolia Hernandez, siblings; Joyce Hazzard-Easley, Johnnie Hazzard, and Johnny B. Moore, 14 grandchildren, one great grandchild and a host of other loving family and friends
