Rebecca Ann Britton

Rebecca Ann Williams was born on November 6, 1958 to Louis and Lovie Williams in New Boston, Tx.

Rebecca received her early education in New Boston. The family later relocated to Fort Worth, where she attended Dunbar High School in the Fort Worth Independent School District where she was a varsity cheerleader and met football player, Bernard Britton. A promising courtship ensued. Upon graduating high school in 1977, Rebecca later continued her education at Tarrant County Jr. College where she pursued a degree in Business Administration.

March 1, 1980, Rebecca married her high school sweetheart, Bernard and to this union, a beautiful daughter was born. Cecille was the sparkle in both her parent’s eyes. In 2004 Rebecca was blessed with a granddaughter, Caira Henderson. It was nothing she wouldn't do for her granddaughter. Her family were most important to her and she cherished every moment with them.

Rebecca, known as "Becky” to her family and friends, was a devoted wife, mother, sister and friend. Becky accepted Christ at an early age. Becky was truly a woman of faith with such a positive attitude. Whenever you would she her she was always smiling. Her faith was rooted and grounded in Jesus Christ and it showed outwardly to everyone. For 34 years she served as a faithful member at The Embassy “Acts Church” where she served on the Usher ministry, Hospitality Greeter and Assisting with the Altar Ministry.

Becky was a true fashionista. She was a Queen that cared about her outward appearance. Someone she greatly admired once said, “You dress how you want to be addressed” and that surely gave her the confidence and reassurance to continue to walk with her head hung high. She would never been seen without her flawless hair, her eyelashes and her heels. Becky's contagious laugh and sweet spirit will forever be missed by all who knew and loved her.

On January 10th, 2021, God called His Angel home. Becky is preceded in death by her father, Louis Williams and sister, Darlene Bagwell.

Those left to cherish her loving memories are: her loving and caring husband of 40 years, Bernard Britton, loving daughter, Cecille Clerkley (Paiget), precious granddaughter, Caira Henderson, God daughter and her son, Jominque Powell and Jarion Crump, mother, Lovie Williams, sisters, Millie Allison and Isophene Jackson, sister-n-law, Romie Britton-Webb, brother, Venoy Williams (Kenya), nieces, Jamonica, Brittney, and Jayla Williams, Laketa Jackson and Patience Montoya, nephews, LeShan and Donell Williams and Venoy Williams, Jr, her fur baby, Honey and a host of extended family and friends.
