The proud and loving couple named their bundle of joy, Tommy Windell Wingate. Tommy and his siblings,  shared a remarkable kinship of love and admiration for one another that others use to marvel about. He attended Northside Elementary and Lake Providence Jr. and High School and later he went to Alcorn University. He accepted Christ and was baptized in 1987. He was a member of Sweet Canaan Baptist Church in Lake Providence, LA. He decided to stretch his wings and relocated to Fort Worth, Texas in 1990. To have met Tommy was to experience his great demeanor and captivating personality. He had a way of making all people in his presence feel warm and welcome; he treated everybody like they were his family. He would go out of his way to help anyone. He loved playing basketball and watching sports, however, his most prized time was spent in the presence of his family and friends. He so loved and adored his family for they were his life’s heartbeat and called them daily. He also had a very loving and close relationship with his  “2nd Mom”, Margie. He was always a happy person and his spirit will be greatly missed. On February 7, 2018, Tommy Wingate exchanged his earthly home for his heavenly home; with his family by his side. He is now united with his beloved and favorite niece, Branta Wingate. Those left with fond and precious memories are his children, Jakobe Price, Jordan Price, DeAndre Minter, Treyvon, and a very special stepdaughter, Lexy Huckaby; parents; Naomi Wingate and Tommy Thompson (Margie); siblings: Artemas, Cheryl, Chawanda, Kelvin and Darrin WIngate, Reginald Thompson, Sr., Ronnie Thompson and LaTrisha Harris and a host aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
